Graphic designer, an accountant! Born samuel & herine chiaji over three decades ago in Nairobi, kenya. Kenneth’s fashion sense became apparent at a tender age when he would alter and trim his attire to match up to his taste despite ridicule from his siblings. Growing up in a middle class family, Kenneth could not afford to purchase the trendy and fashionable attire during his juvenile years, but made it a point to look stylish in his inexpensive threads.
After graduating from high school in the early 90’s, Kenneth took up an accounting job in a small organization until early 2000 when he embarked on a full time accounting course at the Kenya college of accountancy in Nairobi city. Barely two years in the college, Kenneth abandoned the course and ventured into self employment which did not do well due to cash-flow constraints and inability to secure credit from the mainstream financial institutions. He went back into employment but resigned a year later to give business a second shot.
Kenneth’s debut in the fashion industry in 2006 took many by surprise since he had not taken up any fashion designing courses. One year into the industry made him nurture interest in graphic designing; an art which he has perfected given his computing prowess gained progressively over the years. Kenneth’s debut into the fashion industry is inspired more from an inborn passion for fashion rather than a vocation.
A fashion student by night in the comfort and confines of his rented apartment, Kenneth’s passion and love for fashion ultimately lead to the inception of Kayworths International Limited in late 2010; a fashion company he leads today. It is Kenneth’s passion and determination to break-even which forms the basis for Kayworths trademark and slogan: “passion inspired fashion” Kayworths may not have secured a remarkable niche in contemporary fashion industry as yet, but Kenneth believes that with self-determination, innovativeness and trust in God, Kayworths is poised to achieve a leadership position in the world of fashion; citing her unique merchandising strategy and through her flagship brand of DIVABAG which can now be recon where fashion is the business.
